Lending your neighbor a cup of sugar and returning your neighbors packages delivered to you mistakenly are some of the unwritten rules about good neighborliness. There’s also the matter of being tolerant and accommodating to some of your neighbor’s quirks like their occasional penchant for loud music.
There’s only so much you can take before your neighbor’s intentional or unintentional offenses get under your skin. Telling them off is a great way to solve things amicably, but no one wants to have such uncomfortable conversations. The solution is writing a well-worded note to point out your neighbor’s repeated wrongdoing, and hope that it gets the message across.
Save Yourself From A Crappy Retaliation
One of the worst experiences for someone who is a pet-lover is living next door to someone who owns a pooch. For starters, dogs are not exactly the quietest of pets, and it’s even worse when the owner of the mutt isn’t the most responsible person. Having to scrape dog excrements from your lawn isn’t how you’d envision spending any moment you step outdoors.
This disgruntled neighbor had enough, and they didn’t hold back sharing their rather imaginative sentiments about it. Hopefully, the dog owner got their pet under control. Otherwise, we don’t imagine they could have saved themselves from the crappy experience of having waste smeared on the back of their heads.
Don’t Wave At My Husband!
A survey conducted by Gleeden, a dating site for married folks, found out that about 71% of men fantasize about having affairs with their neighbor. That is why we imagine the woman of this house wasn’t having it when the friendly lady from their building waved at her husband.
A wave is harmless, and we don’t know why the author of this note was incensed by the fact that this lady chose to extend the friendly greeting to her husband.
Rott In Hell
Halloween is the time you’ll spot spooky decorative items strewn all over your neighbor’s compound, including the traditional pumpkins. The rate of pumpkin theft rises at the time.
The person who wrote this note knew that they weren’t going to get their pumpkin back. Their only hope was that the culprit ends up “Rott’ in hell.” It’s a pun, and perhaps they just meant that the pumpkin should get rotten and prove useless to the thief.
A Ray Of Sunshine
Most inconsiderate pet owners don’t bother picking up after their beloved four-legged friends when out on a walk. No one wants to have their day dampened by stepping on a pile of dog waste, and that’s why this neighbor spoke up.
They did it most creatively, by sarcastically thanking the offender for leaving them an unwelcome ray of sunshine. After taking the time to doodle around the dog waste, we want to believe that they made a strong impact.
A Waste Of Effort
There are thoughtful acts you can do as a neighbor, like picking up your neighbor’s newspaper that has found its way on your lawn and placing it on their front porch. Sometimes, an act of kindness can fall short.
Take this person who decided to clean up what we presume was their pet’s excrements from their neighbor’s driveway. They followed through by wasting the considerate act by leaving the bag right next to their neighbor’s garbage can.
Poop Surveillance
We thought we’d seen it all until we stumbled into this lawn sign. The homeowner couldn’t fathom scooping yet another doodle off of their lawn, and they decided to take action. If the sign is to be believed, they have running surveillance cameras recording offending parties.
We sympathize with the homeowners who must have had to clean up dog poop for a long time, and they decided to let dog owners know that they are watching. We just wonder if they stay true to their word and send their grandson to return the favor.
Stay Within The Line
Parking is one of the biggest issues that lead to disagreements between neighbors. You can always let it slide when you find your neighbor’s car parked on your spot or hogging up two spaces.
When it becomes a habit, you have every right to speak out and not in the politest way. This culprit even received a visual reference instructing them on how to stay within their designated parking lines. The author of the note also pointed out that he didn’t care about the other spots as long as the culprit kept off space “C.”
Mistaken Identity
There are the nosy lot who always seem consumed by everything that’s going on around their neighborhood. This lot is always looking for opportunities to save the day. A good example is this self-appointed detective who launched a case to get down to the bottom of a parking mystery.
The problem is that they erroneously thought that they were dealing with a parking thief, but they didn’t do their due diligence thoroughly. They left a sternly-worded note only to find out later that the vehicle belonged to one of their neighbors.
The Blame Game
There’s nothing worse than being accused of something you didn’t do, especially by your neighbors. That’s what happened to this innocent man who got a note from his neighbor asking him to park more considerately.
He didn’t waste time responding to the accusations, and he wrote back a note back apologizing on behalf of his wife, who was the inconsiderate culprit. Whether or not his wife committed the offense, she couldn’t have been happy with her husband for ratting her out.
Practice Makes Perfect
By the age of three, most toddlers start learning to make use of their fine motor skills. One of the ways that parents help them with this process is by giving them coloring books to doodle on.
Now imagine being told that you are no better than a toddler who is just learning the art of coloring within the lines? That’s what the person who wrote this note implies. They were gracious enough to leave behind a coloring project for an offending motorist.
Neighbors Living In The Stone Age
Noisy neighbors in apartment settings are another lot who always seem to ruffle feathers. We are talking about the ones who are always dragging furniture or heavily thumping their feet as they move from one room to the next.
Sometimes these easy to avoid sounds that neighbors make become unbearable, and you have to wonder if they are living in the Stone Age. That’s what the person who wrote this note is implying about their upstairs neighbors.
A Warning For The Rooster
You’d think that the only place you would come across a rooster is on a farm in the countryside. These days people keep the strangest of pets in the suburbs, and even the city, including very noisy roosters.
This note serves as a pre-warning to a rooster owner that if they can’t tame their pet, then the worst could happen. We have to admit that we are curious if the rooster lived to see another day.
Good Fences...Good Neighbors
Most of us have that one neighbor who always reminds us to tend to our overgrown lawn or trim the branches of the tree on our property. It gets worse when they threaten us with sanctions for these neglected elements.
This person must have had it with their neighbor Bob who kept pointing out that they needed to paint their fence. Well, we do agree that they did do some paintwork. But we are sure that Bob would still argue that it wasn’t a great paint job.
Cold As Ice
The nerve of some people! If you’ve ever found yourself uttering those words, then you might support resident 301’s actions. All they had set out to do was use the shared laundry facilities, we assume, within their apartment building.
Someone decided that their load of laundry was more important and removed resident 301’s clothes mid-cycle. When the author returned to check on their laundry, they chose to serve the inconsiderate person a serving of some cold justice.
Warm Regards
On the flip side, some neighbors load the dryer and leave their belongings in there for an unacceptable duration. Max from 3F had to move such a person’s possession. He was kind enough to explain his actions.
We tip our hat’s at the creativity Max from 3F put into penning down the note. He included some cool drawings at the bottom. His description of how long he had to wait to use the dryer is hilarious.
Sometimes You Fall Short
Judy is one angry lady because she has to suffer the consequences of Peter’s actions. All she’s asking is that Peter should be mindful and stop using his washing machine because it shorts out all her appliances.
We understand her problem, but we have to question why Peter should skip the luxury of doing his laundry just for her benefit. If it’s a wiring issue, then Judy’s note is best sent to the building’s superintendent. Judy even followed through with a second note claiming that the complaint comes from her and the rest of the building’s occupants.
Don’t Feed The Squirrels
Homeowners deal with a lot, including tiny intruders who wreak havoc on their gardens. Squirrels are just adorable, and no one can resist tossing them something to nibble on whenever they cross your path.
They posted a note to warn passersby against feeding the squirrels that make their way to the homeowner’s garden. Would it be the worst thing in the world if the peanuts buried in the garden sprouted out into trees?
Trash Pick-Up
Trash pick-up days are on Friday and not Saturday. At least that’s how it works in this note author’s neighborhood. Unfortunately, they have a neighbor who didn’t get the memo. They leave their trash out from Saturday until the next garbage pick-up day.
The author goes a step further and includes drawings showing everything that could go wrong when a stinky pile of trash attracts hawks. They suggest that hawks eat little dogs, and we don’t know where they got that information.
Not So Good Vibrations
Just about everyone has flirted with the idea of making it big and becoming famous. Such ambitions start from the garage bands set up around the neighborhood. Most of these bands don’t make a ripple in the long-run, besides being a nuisance to their neighbors.
No wants to hear that they aren’t any good. But the person who wrote this note was kind enough to suggest the ways that the band could improve their sound.
Wife In Labor
It’s undeniable that we are all nosy neighbors at some point. The strange noises that come out of our neighbor’s apartment raise our curiosity sometimes.
Daniel wanted to cover his tracks ahead of time. He decided to write a note explaining the source of the questionable sounds coming from his apartment. It only makes it creepier. The neighbor who received this note called the police just to confirm Daniel’s account of things.
Creeped Out Neighbor
We are a paranoid society, and that van parked out of the streets doesn’t help the situation. Now imagine if that van is parked right in front of your house. Well, you would have every right to try and get the owner to move it elsewhere.
Despite trying not to come off offensive, the person who wrote the note doesn’t beat around the bush and tells the van owner that the vehicle creeps them out.
Your Everyday Ebenezer Scrooge
The cold-hearted miser who isn’t fond of Christmas might be living right next door. In this case, they might want to put a damper on every glimmer of joy they see around them. That’s the vibe we get from the person who wrote this note.
It’s hard to imagine that anyone would complain about the joyful sounds of children playing, but there’s always a first. We don’t even think the police would side with this neighbor if it ever got to that point.
Mixed Messages
Next to garage bands, living next door to someone with a drum set is one of the most unnerving things you can go through. Drum set owners seem to think that loud is the best level to play their music.
One neighbor in this apartment had a problem with the drums and said something. Another neighbor who didn’t have a problem with the drums egged the drummer on. Now, which note should the culprit take seriously?
Won’t Turn A Blind Eye
We don’t imagine that a church can be the setting of a crime. The reason is that we have a certain perception of church-goers, and they are considered as some of the most forgiving people.
This church-goer wasn’t willing to turn a blind eye when someone made away with their grey bike. We can’t imagine the clergy at St. Nicholas Cathedral would approve of the author’s choice of words. But everyone gets pushed to the limit at some point.
Driving The Point Across
No one wants their good night’s rest or even just their tranquility during the day ruined by a dog that won’t stop barking. Anger can make most of us act irrational, and for this guy, he decided to write it out on his neighbor’s house.
Funny as it is, we don’t think that the homeowner got the joke because they had to clean up the writings. Either way, this is a message that is hard to ignore.
